are designed for temperature measurement in liquid and gaseous non-corrosive media, and also corrosive media that do not damage protective cover material.
Depending on modification the sensor can be equipped with welded fitting. Sensors without mounting elements are recommended to be equipped with movable fitting UNKJ 031, 041, or movable flange UNKJ 030 (see section 10 "UNKJ mounting fittings"). Nominal pressure is rated according to mounting element. 01.08 sensor can be equipped with mounting threaded flange UNKJ 039 (see page 10-2).
High-temperature CTх 01.16 sensor is equipped with assembly heat-resistant thermowell. Assembly thermowell is recommended for heat-resistant tube consumption reduction and thermocouple cost saving. One part of thermowell insertion length is made of heat-resistant alloy CrNi45U,alloy Kanthal АРМ or AISI 310 steel, and other (low-temperature) part is made of 12Cr18Ni10Т stainless steel or similar. Two thermowell parts are welded together by argon-arc welding. Temperature at welding point during operation should not exceed 700°С.
CTK 01.06 and 01.16 with thermowell made of heat-resistant steel AISI 310 are recommended for temperature up to 1100°С instead of thermocouple with more expensive thermowell made of CrNi45U and Kanthal АРМ alloy.
01.06 and 01.16 sensors can be dismantled. Temperature-sensing elements CTK 01.01-006 can be supplied separately. 01.06 and 01.16 sensors have angle versions 01.06A and 01.16A with 90° bend. 01.06A and 01.16A modifications can not be dismantled. Thermocouple design with AISI 310 steel thermowell is covered by utility model patent No. 41190.
21.06, 21.08 and 21.16 temperature sensors are recommended if precision temperature measurement is required. Such precision is achieved due to periodic calibration or verification. They are similar to 01.06 and 01.16 modifications, and have the same technical specification.
21.xx temperature sensor has an additional channel for control or reference thermocouple installation next to temperature-sensing element inside thermowell. Such construction allows to calibrate temperature-sensing element without thermocouple dismantling according to MI 3091--2007 (see pages 2-16). CETN 01 or CETN 02 are used as reference thermocouples (see section 8).
CTxx 21.XX thermocouple design is covered by patent for invention No. 2299408.
Explosion-proof versions 0ExiaIICT6 X or 1ExdIICT6 according to GOST 30852.10-2002 are available (except for 21.06, 21.08, 21.16 modifications). For further details see "Alternative designs & Ordering information" below.
Terminal heads can be equipped with transmitters with 4-20 mА DC output signal and/or digital signal via HART, PROFIBUS-PA, FOUNDATION Fieldbus protocol. It is recommended to use heads of 16, 23, 28 modifications for easy wire connection to transmitters. Terminal head can be equipped with standard or special-purpose cable gland.
